Humanitarian Programs

Since 1989 Peacework, a 501(c) non-profit volunteer organization, provides international volunteer service opportunities for groups that correspond to the development needs of countries around the world.-

- Volunteer groups work in partnership with communities in need to meet specific humanitarian goals.
- Projects enhance volunteers' understanding and appreciation of the world's diversity of cultures.

- Volunteers explore the global dynamics that create conditions of conflict, economic disparity, hunger, and poverty, and think about ways they can help address these issues in their personal and professional lives.

Peacework has over 100 annual projects worldwide including those in Belize, Cameroon, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Kenya, Nepal, Russia, Vietnam and more.

Peacework also began initiatives for people to explore and learn about the dynamics of our interconnected world. How to be conscious of our actions and their effect on ourselves, others, the environment and the global community including Agriculture & Livelihood, Ecology & Environment, Health & Medicine, Literacy & Education & Women's Network.
